Why JEDI

Why JEDI?
Difference, inequity, exclusionary practices, and bias are difficult conversations in the workplace. We turn them into inclusive conversations that begin the healing and build dialogue skills that create healthy balanced organizations.
In our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Practice, we partner with clients to develop strategies using a collective, developmental approach where employee input is sought, and voices are heard. Our Diversity Development Model™ provides a continuum to help individuals and groups articulate their JEDI awareness, concerns, issues and goals.
Our approach is to partner with your organization to ignite awareness, collaboration and a high level of solution driven problem-solving that engages your people so great things can happen.
We use a wide variety of models and tools to meet your outcomes.
JEDI stands for Justice, Equity Diversity and Inclusion in the workplace
Tools
The Diversity Development Model™ is a research based development tool that provides a continuum for individuals to articulate their awareness, comfort and action orientation with diversity and inclusion through the lenses of racism, sexual orientation, gender and or ethnic identities It was created by GroupWorks to help our clients articulate where they are as organizations, teams and individuals. We are all at different points in the continuum and this is meant to build a bridge across divides and communicate more effectively.
Psychological Safety for Teams –The Group Development Questionnaire (GDQ) is a valid and reliable assessment that can help established teams determine the path forward to becoming a high functioning, inclusive, safe, and productive team. This tool, can help teams move toward high efficiency and less dependency on leadership.

Inclusive Conversations Lab™
Inclusive Conversations Lab™ introduces dialogue techniques and communication tools that turn difficult conversations into inclusive conversations. Participants create safe spaces to practice deepening their listening skills, empathy, and finding ways to harmonize differences that can result in innovative solutions.
Introduction to Anti-Racism
Introduction to Anti-Racism workshop is a great introduction for those unfamiliar with the history of diversity and discrimination. This workshop is a blend of presentations, videos, worksheets and experiential activities that engage participants in how our brains lean towards bias and how we might mitigate it, and why discrimination happens and how being aware of it can help you make better choices.
Unconscious Bias Workshop
Unconscious Bias Workshop connects brain science and emotional intelligence to the cognitive biases all humans harbor. Participants explore unconscious bias, strengthen their awareness, and explore effective ways to mitigate bias, making room for more inclusive behaviors.
Perception and Bias
Perception and Bias is experiential and helps participants recognize how they perceive relationships in the workplace. We explore how perception can be deceiving, the most common unconscious biases that impact our daily decisions, and ways to mitigate it so we make better-informed decisions.
